Ticket Centre Security volunteers are expected to

- Extend a warm greeting to festival-goers and welcome them to Taste of Edmonton.
- Communicate any concerns to the CBE Manager of Volunteering via radio.
- Ensure no unauthorized individuals gain access to the Ticket Centre
- Maintain a presence at the Ticket Security Entrance.
- Familiarize yourself with the festival layout, including locations such as the First Aid tent, Muster Points, Information Booth, etc.
- Respond to festival-related inquiries from patrons.

- Exceptional communication abilities and interpersonal skills; approachable and optimistic demeanor.
- Alert and vigilant.
- Capable of maintaining composure, politeness, and patience in challenging circumstances.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Additional Information
Requirements:
- Pledge to work a minimum of three shifts during the 2025 event
Dress Code:
- T-shirts will be provided.
- Comfortable attire suitable for Alberta’s unpredictable weather is recommended, with layering suggested.
Note:
These outdoor roles may involve exposure to various weather conditions. The event will proceed regardless of weather conditions unless Taste of Edmonton Event Organizers deem cancellation necessary due to severe weather. Do not assume that adverse weather forecasts will lead to cancellation; this decision is at the discretion of the Event Organizers.
ARRIVAL: Please arrive 30 minutes before your shift begins.
CANCELLATION POLICY: We require at least 48 hours’ notice for shift cancellations.
