About the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton

Since 1940, the Christmas Bureau has maintained one tradition - providing a festive meal and coordination of Christmas giving to Edmontonians in need at Christmastime through the promotion of the spirit of Christmas caring and sharing in the City of Edmonton.

Non-denominational and accessible to all Edmontonians in need, we are a connector of over 90 social service agencies providing those in need a one stop application process for Christmas services. Client information is compiled by the Christmas Bureau into a database to provide  food gift cards to accommodate all dietary needs. The client list is also used to provide gift cards for teens aged 13 to 17 years through the Christmas Bureau’s Adopt-A-Teen program and by 630 CHED Santas Anonymous for the delivery of toys to children ages 0 to 12 years.

In 2019,  38, 428 individuals were provided a festive meal of which 14,637 were children under the age of 12 and 4,545  were teens aged 13 to 17.

2019 Honorary Christmas Campaign Co-Chairs

Not everyone has the resources to create that delicious, nutritious festive meal at Christmastime.
But this festive meal is what brings family and friends together.
Together we can bring joy to Edmontonians in need by donating to the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton.

Kevin Lowe and Oilers Ladies, Honorary Campaign Co-Chairs

The Christmas Bureau raises funds to provide festive meals at Christmas time to Edmonton families, individuals and seniors in need.
