ABOUT Lindsey Smithson
Lindsey Smithson is Legal Counsel with the Alberta Court of Justice and has dedicated her career to serving Albertans through the justice system. Called to the Alberta Bar in 2013, Lindsey began her legal career with Alberta Justice before joining the Court. Across both roles, Lindsey has remained committed to public service, access to justice, fairness, and strengthening the communities she is privileged to serve.
Lindsey joined the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton Board because of her love for Edmonton and the people who make it such a remarkable city. She believes there is something truly special about the spirit of Edmontonians—a community that is welcoming, grounded, and committed to supporting one another, particularly during times of need. The Christmas Bureau’s mission is especially meaningful for Lindsey as it provides direct, tangible support to local families. She is grateful to be part of an organization that makes a real difference in the lives of Edmontonians, helping individuals and families experience dignity, hope, and a sense of belonging during the holiday season.
Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her family, watching hockey in the winter, and exploring Edmonton’s beautiful river valley in the summer.
