ABOUT Dan Bruinooge
Dan joined the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton (CBE) after being a volunteer with the CBE. He believes everyone deserves a special Christmas and providing help to those in need during this incredibly important time is a way he states he can give back to our community. Seeing the massive smiles of the faces of the families members the CBE impacts is truly a blessing and an act his family cherishes each year.
Dan embraces the Christmas Bureau’s mission, mandate, and values. His personal mantra is always to make a positive impact on those he has the privilege to meet. As a member of the Board of the Christmas Bureau, Dan will contribute to the due diligence in financial viability, risk management human resources practices and overall effective governance.
Dan has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Administration, is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), a Senior Certified Professional with the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP), a Certified Chief Executive (CCE) and a Certified Corporate Director (ICD.D). Dan has also completed his Master’s Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management and Business Performance along with numerous other development courses.
From 2014 to 2020 Dan sat on the Board of Credit Union Central of Alberta. He was a member of the Audit and Finance Committee and the Governance and Human Resources Committee. Dan has also been a member of the Conference Board of Canada Human Resources Council.
