This festive event brings together teams from across the community to kick off our holiday campaign with a fun and spirited gingerbread house-building challenge. With exciting prizes for the best designs and all proceeds supporting Edmonton families in need, it’s the perfect way to spread holiday cheer, unleash your creativity, and make a meaningful impact this season!

So You Think You Can Build a Gingerbread House?

Gather your dream team of up to 10 and get ready to whip up the most epic gingerbread house Edmonton has ever seen! Bring your creativity, competitive spirit, and a love for holiday fun, because this is one tasty showdown you won’t want to miss!

Event Highlights

• Teams have 45 minutes to create the most creative and festive gingerbread houses—expect laughter, competition, and incredible designs.
• Enjoy festive tunes, setting the perfect holiday atmosphere while you build, compete, and celebrate with your team.
• Enjoy delicious holiday snacks and hot drinks to keep spirits high throughout the competition.
• Connect with community members, businesses, and leaders all gathered to support a great cause.
• Compete for fun awards like the Shining Star Award, The Imagination Award, and the Charlie Brown Award with prizes up for grabs.

What’s New This Year?

We’re excited to share that the Gingerbread Showdown is now a peer-to-peer fundraising event! In the spirit of giving, each team will be asked to raise a suggested amount of $500 in support of the Christmas Bureau’s Festive Food Hamper Program, helping families in need experience the joy of the holiday season.

Each team will receive their own customizable fundraising page to share with colleagues, friends, and family members who want to cheer you on and sponsor your team. It’s a fun and meaningful way to build holiday spirit, boost team morale, and make a real impact in our community.
