The Christmas in July Fundraising Dinner has been an exciting new summer event for our charity. It is not your traditional "gala", as we wished to create an event with a short program, in a casual and welcoming environment. And therefore due to the casual nature of the event, our team has always lovingly referred to the event as the “UNGALA".
Unfortunately due to the impact of Covid-19, we have had to cancel the 3rd Annual Christmas in July Fundraising Dinner scheduled for July 25, 2020, which would have been the kick-off of our 80th Anniversary celebrations.
Although we are not hosting an in-person event this year, we thought we could have a little fun with the event’s nickname and still raise some funds by "selling tickets" and "hosting an auction" - without there being any event to attend nor any items to bid on.....truly living up to the event’s nickname of the UNGALA!
We need your support now more than ever! Due to the impact of Covid-19 in our community, the need for our services will be even greater this year, but our resources are proving to be limited/going down.
Thank you in advance for your time, consideration and support! Funds raised through the Christmas in July Ungala will ensure that our organization has the capacity to provide a nutritious, festive meal and coordinate holiday giving for thousands of Edmontonians in need this holiday season.
